This salsa was created by a fire protection engineer, named John. John picked up a passion for hot and spicy food during numerous trips to the Gulf Coast and Southwest in his work on various fire protection projects. John's wife, Sue, was raised on the Gulf, so the couple would frequently travel to New Orleans and stock up on ingredients John needed to satisfy his hot and spicy taste. A few years later we discovered his first salsa and featured it in the Salsa2U™ - America's Gourmet Salsa Of-The-Month Club!™.
We are pleased to select another award winning CaBoom! salsa for the Salsa2U™ - America's Gourmet Salsa Of-The-Month Club!™ Members to enjoy. CaBoom Chipotle Salsa won the 2000 Fiery Food Challenge, and the 1999 Texas Fiery Foods Shootout. It has a mildly smoky pepper flavor combined with a slightly sweet background. The salsa has chunks of tomato and is medium in heat. If you enjoy the slightly smoky taste of Chipotle peppers- we know you will enjoy this gourmet salsa.
